Opis
Marie de France was only seventeen when she was expelled from the royal court. A fat lady was not fit to be a court lady, but a prioress in a poor English abbey. So free-loving Marie found herself in a world dominated by obedience, duty and prayer. Mother is an exciting story about an ambitious and sensual prioress, a brilliant strategist, a diplomat, a poet, a defender of women, in whose soul faith has sprouted. First of all, self-belief.
